Terms and Conditions

Te hotu manawa o rangitaane o manawatu (“thm”) Tuturu pumau user policy and agreement

  1. The above rates are GST exclusive.
  2. THM shall invoice the user/s and the user/s shall pay:
    • A 25% deposit to secure the booking and this is payable within 10 working days of receipt of invoice; and
    • The 75% remainder of the hireage is payable 30 days prior to the user/s arrival at THM.
    NOTE: The dates for when payments are due will be outlined on the booking letter.
  3. Catering:
    1. It is preferred that users provide their own catering.
    2. If you require our contracted caterers to be available, we will send you the Catering Requirements Form to be completed, signed by the user/s and sent back to us within 5 working days.
    3. This shall be followed by an invoice for the full amount.
    4. This is to be paid within 15 days prior to arrival.
    5. The final date for payment will be stated on the invoice.
    6. Failure to secure full payment for catering by the deadline, will result in TMI cancelling their catering contract with you. In this case you will need to arrange your own caterer.
  4. It is your responsibility to familiarise yourself with the Orientation Booklet hanging in the kitchen of the Marae and to comply with its requirements. Failure to do so may result in extra costs for you as the hirer.
  5. Users are to provide their own personnel to take care of setting and cleaning up. Rubbish is to be emptied in the Skip Bin provided, not left outside the kitchen.
  6. Washing Machine & Dryer Facilities are available as follows:
    • $2 per wash
    • $3 dryer
    • Bring own powder.
  7. Where you wish to erect a marquee on the grass area we require to know the following:
    • Its dimensions;
    • When it will be erected;
    • What purpose it is being erected for; and
    • When it will come down;
    as there are restrictions in the evenings, due to possible noise issues for residents on the boundary. It is TMI’s decision as to whether a marquee can be erected or not and such decision is final.
  8. The THM User agreement shall be signed by the person(s) hiring THM (on page 3). THM will only deal with this person concerning hireage of THM. It is then that persons responsibility to inform other users about TMI policies and procedures regarding use of the THM over the period of hireage.
  9. All areas will be left in good order and shall be cleaned. Any breakages, damages or problems shall be documented in writing to the Bookings Officer, TMI.
  10. No property, equipment or areas other than those items included specifically in the area hired, will be used by the Hirer. This includes the exterior of the site, and the Hirer will be provided with a map of the site, which identifies “no-go” zones.
  11. No nails or fixtures will be attached to TMI facilities.
  12. The Hirer will be required to pay for any damage incurred.
  13. All fire doors and exits will be kept clear at all times.
  14. The Hirer will ensure that the activities are completed at the agreed time. Also, the hirer will vacate at the agreed time.
  15. No alcohol will be consumed on the site, unless prior approval is obtained from TMI.
  16. No smoking is permitted in any of the TMI facilities.
  17. The Key Holder (hirer) shall be responsible for ensuring that all doors are locked, lights and heating are turned off prior to departure.
  18. TMI will charge the Hirer for any alarms activated in any part of the site, which results in the monitoring agent being called out unnecessarily.
  19. TMI reserves the right to suspend the activities in the event of a breach of any of the conditions stated in the Agreement.
  20. In the event of Tangihana please be advised that THM reserves the right to cancel or suspend this hireage agreement in keeping with the cultural protocol or our iwi. Any monies paid in advance of the hireage will be refunded. We will endeavour to notify the hirer as soon as practicable of any changes to their hireage of the facility.
  21. Twenty five percent (25%) of the total payable is non-refundable except as stated at 20 above.

 

Tanenuiarangi manawatu incorporated (“tmi”) Te whare wairua o mererikiriki (“wwm”)
